You didn't know either Aish. This was an iconic pic from the 1992 famine in Somalia just before or during Americas so called humanitarian mission in Moqadisho. At least that's what I was told I might be wrong though

The kid was from Sudan AUN. The photograph comitted suicide 3 months after he took that pic. I don't blame him either. Bismilahi that picture is powerful walahi look at the focking vulture man

My freind is adamant the picture is fake. The guy who made the picture and won prizes for it admitted it was fake and killed himself later according to him.

I don't know. Search on the Internet yielded nothing to show it is not genuine. Allahu waclam

It does really matter to me if its sudan ama somalia they are both of african child that is dying because of war and famine the adults are represented as the vulture. The child represent hope, peace and prosperity of future generations to come. A dying Africa that will never reach its full potential because of corrupt governments . A picture speaks a thousand words in this case a thousand emotions.

I feel happiness for the soul of children whom die.......they will never suffer the torment of the grave....the waiting for Allah's (swt) judgement....the weighing of deeds etc. By Allah's (swt) mercy they have been spared all this.
