Brother you can't generalise ALl Somali women base on one incident. (which I don't know if it is true or not - just because a Sheikh said so doesn't make it true).

It is well known fact Somali women are better looking than Somali men also they are hard workers - the backbone of our community - majority of them raising their kids alone.
So show your appreciation instead of insulting them by comparing them to other women.

Excuse me, but raising children alone is not a good thing, and definitely not something to aspire too.

We've all seen the negative impact of fatherless homes in the Somali community, and all of these ciyaalsuuq Somali boys who end up in prison or who end up dropping out of school. I will say that a large majority of these Somali boys grew up in single-parent households where the father was absent from the home....and it results in these lost and purposeless Somali boys getting involved in ciyaalsuuq behavior. So instead of trying to set up males and females against each other, maybe you should try and think of solutions to have us work together to build a functioning Somali community.

Obesity is very high in the West, especially among middle aged people it is like 33%-50%...

But your way of speaking exactly mirrors that of African-American women, who have been saying for decades, "We Black women are the backbone and leaders of the community".....yet at the same time this same community has a very high rate of boys being murdered, being put in prison, and dropping out of high school.

And now we see Somali boys doing the exact same thing. And you don't even have the common sense to see the problem here. You just want to make meaningless statements and try to pit Somali men and Somali women against each other. We are supposed to work TOGETHER and not compete against each other. Define fat? a bit of meat on the right place\places never hurt anyone, but if shes sporting a little belly iga ilaali, I can't stand young women that are obese, its not okey to be a gabar(unmarried) and fat, such a turn off.

The problem needs to be addressed in order to find a solution. Somali men have been abandoning their children when their marriage failed for generation and it is always the somali women struggling. why can't they co-parent. It is though as if they were only there for the women.
