Ogaden can do what they want with their own landsGalliumerianSlayer wrote:Ogadenia is a myth.
What about Murule and ajuuraan?AwBakayle wrote:Ogaden majority in NFD is a myth. Ogaden is a majority in Garissa county (with population of around 623,060). In Wajer (with population of around 661,941) Degodia clan is the majority, while the most populous countyof Mandera (1,025,756) has a Garre majority. At the end of the day, they are all Somalis.

They say they've got a population of over a million people! That's not true. I am familiar with all three Somali counties. Even though not very instructive, the number of votes in each county tells a lot.
The three counties have roughly the same population and Garissa Town is by far the largest town in NFD. And the most well-developed and most connected to the rest of the country.
In terms of qabiil numbers, I'd estimate the Ogaden to be the largest Somali in the whole of NFD, around 35 per cent followed by Garre and Degodia.
1. Mandera: The largest clan is Garre, a second distant is Murule, then Degodia and corner tribes (Asharaf, Sheikhal, Marehan, Rahanweyn, Badcad Absame, etc).
2. Wajir: the largest clan is the Somali Degodia especially the Fai and the Reer Mohamud. A close second is Ogaden (Mohamed Subeer, Maqabuul [these two are almost same size], Bah Geri, and Geeri Kombe (though the latter is not OG, but is included for historical reason :P ) and Ajuuraan...The corner tribes are small by from different Somali clans.
3. Garissa: It is Ogaadeen and some corner triber (Boran, Ajuuran, Degodia, all within Garissa town only). The Ogadeen clans here are Abudwaak (the richest clan among the OG in Kenya and very numerous), the mighty Cawlyahan especially the Reer Ali, Afwaax and Afgaab. They have got a long running fued with Abudwaak. And the Abdalla, the Abdalla are mainly in the south of the county and are slightly smaller than the other two.
This is my observation and Allah knows best.
