[quote="Lil_Cutie.."]e!--Why do you say that? Confused

A/W--Everytime someone goes to Somalia I am granted a Drica/Sheed or/and some mulub back..

Ina Baxar--InaAdeer, maxaad ka wadaa? The Dirac isn't traditionally Somali either. They wear it in Sudan and Indian to name a few. As for the Macawiis my brother got one from his from when he went to Bangladesh and thiers is different, much lighter and they tie it different.

I wear Dirac shiid whenever i'm in the house(to sleep, when i'm cooking, cleaning etc) and when i'm going to my local suuq. I don't just wear it out and about, (shops,uni---when i can't be assed to throw clothes on)---I rock the dirac shiid with style. The dirac(you know the wedding ones) I have worn them out before (like after a wedding celebration) but not out to the shopping centre, naah that's just too much.Loool. I just remembered something funny. Laughing Laughing

My girls' 21st celebration (Cadaan girl). I couldn't miss it for the world(she'd have my gut for garters). I 'had' to go to a wedding on the same night and ended up attending the 'do' in my dirac. Lool. It was cool, rather different.

Dirac shiid is that the see-through ones?

Simplicity has its disadvantages as well. Have you ever seen men who wear Macawis sit like women. I like to spread my legs as far apart as I can. With macawis I am affraid the wind my blow it away, specialy when you are all bayto-bayto.

5 Pages long Shocked Could someone summarise it?

Anyways.... dirac is the most comfortable thing to wear when your at home. I could sleep with it, do housekeeping and jump around like a animal. But unfortunatly I only wear it when i'm at home and you know weddings, and that's about it i guess.

Somalia kills it, they wear any old sheed with any old gorgaraad and any old gabarsaar.. Loool. Laughing

Sweet--I once wore a dirac to my friends wedding (Asian) they loveeeeed it. It's alot like something they have but with a different name but mine was sparkly and O.T.T which killed it. But I made Somalis around the world proud..Loool

The pattern on mine is plaid. The red predominates, and then white cross-checking with a narrow blue line.

The cotton is very soft.
