Warya, I am also choosy with my qaaran too. I never contribute to anything that smells of Ikhwan Heck, if I sense there are Ikhwan leading it, I refuse to contribute. My antiMakhamiinta stand has lead to personal threats against me if I set foot in Somalia from even my wayward bidca ridden ikhwan relatives.

However, if its for progressive works like humanitarian projects such as drought relief or to advance Galmudug, I donate.

I have seen a lot of low moments for Somalis, but this weekend I was invited to a wedding where the couple got married simply because they both hailed from the same clan. Subhanallah! The bride is a good sister who teaches at our Masjid's weekend madrasah and the man she married is a known Khaat addict, she was told to stay away from him, but against all common sense has chosen to marry him. Why? Because they're from the same clan and hopes to change his "evil" ways. Haha!

These women marry these questionable men and then complain about mistreatment. War yaan been la isku sheegin, these people deserve each other. Waan ka sabray Soomaali. Choosing a spouse for qabiil reasons, what could be worse? Inkaar idinku dhacday dheh.

Maybe jacayl baa hayaa, thats the only logical reason because women will only marry a guy if he's rich or if his good looking.
