There's nothing called "crazy" in psychiatry or psychology sxb.

These illnesses are either mood or cognitive disorders, often times treated with therapy and meds. We just need to get these people the help they need. Postpartum depression happens as a result of hormonal imbalances in the body and a lot of times is dictated by enviromental factors.

I mean this woman had all the perfect ingredients:

-financial woes
-history of postpartum depression
-lack of emotional support
-sense of failure
-self-loathe
-5 children all close in age

Halfdzed, you remind of my younger brother. If he hasn't heard it from his lecturers or read it in a medical book then he doesn't believe it is possible it can exist. By the way how do you know this girl had any of those ingredients or are you just assuming that was the case?

I don't know her, but I know one thing and that is, its very difficult for a mother to kill her children or neglect them like that. Its just not something that happens randomly. Also, this case was not premeditated, its obviously as a result of a lapse of judgement. And my suspicion is that what caused this lapse in judgement to be a mental related issue.

P.s. What finally caused her in to doing this could be the rumors that her husband married another woman. Maybe she felt a sense of abandonment and no longer cared what became of her or her kids. The detectives themselves said she said she was not her usual self, also from the mugshot, she appeared as someone who was suffering, she also appeared as though she was starving herself, Allahu aclam.

The guilt she feels now is probably enough punishment for her. We shouldn't judge her, the best thing would be to pray for her and the family.

Those poor kids suffered and it could've all been prevented if only someone had paid close attention.

What a sad story. I just heard about this from my mom, and have spent the last couple of hours coming the web trying to make sense of it. I've read the defense for the mother and am going to leave that alone, and hope she gets the help that she needs and have Allah swt guide her. However for the husband... Its really easy to hate the guy, and think of him a thoughtless asshole who leaves his pregnant wife to take care of their 5 children on her own, because that's exactly what he did! Which is horrible and thoughtless, but that dosnt make him the murderer of his own children. No one has out right said this, but the brunt of the blame is being placed on his feet.

Know I'll admit that I enjoyed reading about this story, and became some what fascinated by it. Hopefully there is a moral to this tale, and we can take something away from it.The lesson I took from this tragic event, was wtf was the dude thinking? And the answer is sadly, he wasn't. Instead he was thinking with his ceeb. I'm sorry to be crude, but it has to be said.Obviously the husband thought he would be happier with a second wife, or he wouldn't have married her.But the guy is a taxi driver with a pregnant wife and five kids!!! Come on dude, is a second wife really going to make you happy? apparently when your thinking with your ceeb, it will cause thats what he did (allegedly). Whenever any of these relationships breaks down, and you loose the love, comfort and companionship, you previously had, you feel like shit. I think they should place her in protective custody because in the prison system, there is this culture where anyone beats or kills someone who has committed heinous crime like the one in this case gets fame and recognition. The always Cuqdad-filled Marax questioned my intention when I mentioned the clan of the family.
