the whole Somaliland population is equal to Mogadishu population alone or less.

If anyone remembers, I did say the population of the south (i.e. below Gaalkacayo) minus greater Mogadishu area.

But all in all, it is fair to conclude that the overall population is above the 10mil estimate. The overall population of the Somali peninsula is around the 20mil figure IMO.

Dude do you think anyone is going to take you serious after your last rediculous guesstimations.

Puntland has a population of more than 1mil and Somaliland has a population higher than 2mil. Instead of trying to construct this irrationally round 10mil figure. I'd say that although it is difficult to determine the distributions of the populations, the figure is likely to be above the neat and easy 10mil.

Its 3.5 million in Somaliland.

The ratio has always been 1:2 from British and Italian estimates that i am sure you already googled.
The 1975 census also confirms the same 1:2 ratio.

Rough road between Bosaso and Berbera: you won't see ppl in the country. Between Mogadishu and Kismayo: the whole area is populated.

Population-wise the south is much larger than the north. It is like US east coast vs west coast. Driving through Somaliland and Puntland is like going through Montana and N. Dakota.
