The prophet is different to the other prophet, he is the greatest creation that allah has ever created, even greater then the angels, and Allah encourages us to Ask forgiveness from Allah through the prophet, this issue is something you and i will never understand on, we both have different ideas and opinions so this discussion is now pointless.
