I love when these sort of meet.ings take place.
its like patomine night with all these hopeless secessionists wandering hither and dither :D

they prance and preen, puffing their chests out exclaiming,
"we use to be a country 1960........blah blah blah" :D

20 years have passed and nobody has accepted their offer to be pimped out.
they`re hungry skinny, dust blown, fly covered, red toothed ngo aid addicts. just like anywhere else in somalia.
and yet they want special treatment........they should be told, " nigga sit yourself down"! :som:

That's an ignorant statement. The grievances started as a result of the hasty union, followed by decades of neglect up until 1991.This is obvious from the coup attempts just after a year to be exact, in 1961.

No one is talking about Khatuumo, thats another party for another day, were talking about the SSC Pl supporters and the ones who want to remain with Puntland. And forget about Maakhir, that 100% PL
Khatuumo claims to represent SSC regions, its predecessors the ''SSC'' were labelled terrorists by Pl. Both of these groups reject Pl, and clearly Pl does not represent them.
There are SSC Sl supporters too, and their capital and large portions of the regions fall under Sl authority, so? Maakhir/Warsenglis have some representation in Sl, again, this does not prove anything or that pl has authority.
This is by the way a constituition the TFG supports. the people you wanna speak to alone This is not up for debate, Puntland will be involved whether you like it or not, you can bet on that
Whatever Pl claims on PAPER is as irrelevant as it is on the ground. It does not even have a legal or historical case to claim those regions let alone have the physical presence in the regions capital in order to claim anything. And yet you come running here with this, inaalilah  Again since 1960, including the SSC regions, the issue has been Sl and Somalia, always has been.Pl must understand that it comes under the authority of the TFG unless its seeks Independence.

Listen to me very carefully because you seem to be a little loose in the head; from 1960-1991, British Somaliland in its entirety was a part of Somalia. Between that period, there were problems in every part of the country not just Hargeisa and surroundings. So in that regard it was an internal affairs issue. Don't make it out like you were the only ones suffering while the rest of the country were eating good.

Isaaqland has not gained independence yet, and has no serious foothold in the territories they claim that border Puntland. So until that imaginary day comes, you are just as much a part of Somalia to the internatinal community as any another place the TFG claims as its sovereignty, which they say includes the regions of the 2 states and the disputed areas in between. Thus this is a regional affair that will and should include all the administrations that run them. So I will tell you this one more time, nothing happens without Puntland

Before starting your diatribe do not preface it with insolence and leave any unwarranted airs at the door, not a good look: lesson 1. Lesson 2, based on the fact the union in 1960 was done in haste and seeing as Sl was a separate administration it had full rights to demand what was expected of the union. This was just the starting point.Whatever issues that continue to pile up afterwards was a result of further irresponsibility of the consecutive Somali governments with regards to addressing issues... This is to correct your previous idea that these talks would be based on the issues after 1991,it isn't.The talks were supposed to bring unresolved isues to the table, which started in 1960.Write that down. Who mentioned other parts of Somalia? That has nothing to do with the topic of union in 1960.

has no serious foothold in the territories they claim that border Puntland
 What is the flag of SL flying over SSC's capital city Laascaanood then? They say denial is not just a river in Egypt. You're seriously sufferring some form of severe denial with this statement, and then you have the audacity to call others' sanity. Pl can try to stick its nose in at every turn Sl takes and complain about these ''border issues'', but it sure does not have neither the significant support of the SSCers nor any legitimate presence there, therefore its claims are as irrelevant on the ground as they are on paper.

And, ''isaaqland''? Bitter much? Bitter that it isn't akin to Pl where 3 cousins play musical chairs on the seat of power and everybody else is a 2nd-rate 'citizen'? Your problem.

You are dismissed.

LOL Somaliland keeps falling into these traps, first the London conference: damned if they boycot it, damned if they participate.

And now these talks: damned if they accept and let Puntland be present, damned if they call it off.

Just do yourselves a favor and abandon this silly fantasy and become a federal Somali state, it's for your own good.

We will be 2 seperate countries by any means necessary..

while you will remain just a province.

original dervish wrote:the basis of the talks should be about the unionist/loyal northern somali regions.
somaliland must and will be exposed as nothing more than a two bit jumped up clan mamuul.

The cessation of hostilities and war crimes being committed in khaatumo, which is a recognised state of Somalia, must be at the forefront of any future talks.

Somaliland just wants to keep Dhulbahante and Warsangeli out of the wadahadle. Puntland should be involved and so should Khaatumo cause it concerns their region.

They don't represent Khaatumo, but they do represent Warsangeli. Therefore General Ilkajir has a right to be part of the talks. I think all stakeholders in the north should be involved. I don't think the minister from Khaatumo in the TFG is included in the talks, that would have been good enough for me.

Good Somaliland cut it off, these 2 bit dhabayaco dicks who do nothing but interfere talks with the big guns, sit down and shake your ass to Australia as they dig you your ever existing-Oil. Abihina wase

And if Somaliland did became an obstacle to peace, who in the Somali-world would try to do something?, you must know that all of our territories were not affected by a gun-tote of a another clan, and that we kept it them in our hands since we captured it from the SNA following their defeat to the Mujahidins of SNM. Somaliland today if they were to embark on a conquest they will fuckin take over the whole Somalia in a 1 week to 1 month.

Know your place, i wonder, why are we the most succesful nation in the world who rose from the ashes after a carpent bombardment and today are the leading role-models of the mini states of Somalia? (Puntland, Galmudug, Ximan iyo Xeeb) it's because we are that's why. :sland:

It makes sense for Puntland and Khaatumo to have a lion share in the meeting between Somalia and Somaliland, Puntland understands Somaliland more than say an Abgaal from Jowhar. Officials from Somaliland can say "Somaliland borders stretches out into the Indian ocean" and dude would probably buy it. But with people from Somalia side who are familiar with the area, the meetings will be fair and the situation will have a profound outcome.
