I know about the successful Sudanese and Senegalese. But even they themselves have an extreme disdain for these Madow people in the USA. I said in the post above, of how some Senegalese Muslim man I know was telling me on the airplane about his experiences dealing with these people in Atlanta.

Second of all, you can tell me I'm African but that means nothing. Africa is larger than North America and Australia COMBINED. Africa is unbelievably vast, and just because we share a continent with them means nothing at all saaxib. Asians share a continent with each other too, but it means nothing at all. You will never find an Arab, Indian, Korean, and Indonesian associating with each other and thinking of themselves as similar. They're not. They know they're not. Yet they're all "Asian"..... So why the double standard for Africa?

Third of all. I know Somalis who live in Hyderabad and Mumbai, and are sometimes mistaken by White tourists to be Indians. My own Somali cousin, who lives in India, and who is 100% Somali.....was actually assumed to be an Indian by some White tourists. But does this mean that Somalis are automatically the same as Indians?

I go by SCIENCE saaxib. I go by DNA. I don't give one flying fuck about what some cadaan man mistakes me for being. Some Jews can be mistaken to be Latinos, even though they're NOT Latinos and have literally nothing at all to do with them.

I'm sick of seeing Somalis define themselves according to how White Americans define "Blacks" and "Whites"....it makes no scientific sense at all. The races of Africa are as different as they could get, yet somehow we have Somalis defining themselves using American standards.

The vast majority of Somalis haven't set one foot in the Western World, yet we define ourselves by their standards. We are Cushites. We aren't like these Bantus nor are we Arab nor are we Indians.

that wasn't the question tho....when you use the word "black"..you can't only put west africans in that box since they are different from each other too....even the "asian" group which consists of koreans, japanese, chinese, philipino etc. (who are all very different from each other, and don't look alike) are still put in that box. its all about numbers....when you are a big group like indians...then you get a singular term (even though they get grouped up as brown people, which also consists of arabs)

of course when your one person you refer to yourself as your ethnic group....but when you have a group of africans you refer to yourself as black...


though I'm somali....if i have to align myself with any group id pick blacks every time....

If someone asks you what you are, tell them you're a Horn African Cushite. And leave it at that. Don't come to me with that Black Power or Black Unity yadda yadda nonsense. Our Somali people have never been like this in our history.

There is no "Black". It's nothing but a social construct created by White Americans in the 20th century, and the Somali is not genetically similar at ALL to a Kikuyu, or a Hausa, or a Zulu. There is only "Bantu" or "Cushite" or "Khoisan" and that's it. West Africans and Southern Africans and Afro-Americans ALL come under the category of "Bantus".....we don't fit that category. We have our OWN category with Ethiopians and we are much different from the rest of the continent.

You really don't know how to connect dots do you? Some racist anthropologists posited that all the "Sons of Ham" were a cursed group of people, even though history shows that the "Hamites" include the Berbers, Somalis, and Ethiopians. This has NOTHING to do with the topic, and this is nothing more than Racist Anthropologists taking stories out of the Bible and using it to further their agenda. It's all bullshit. Somalis and Ethiopians have built many successful civilizations in the past, and so did the Berbers.

Either way, we are a Northeast and North African race, our genetic haplogroup is E1B1B1 which we share with other Horn Africans as well as North African Berbers. Our autosomal DNA, our SNP markers, and all of our genetic classifications differ significantly from Bantus and other Southern/Western Africans.

Are you gonna talk to me about semantics or are you gonna discuss the very real genetic classifications which leads to Nigerians and Congolese being called "Bantus"? Are you kidding me right now? Stop avoiding the topic and actually address the issue here.

"Bantu" is nothing but a large group of languages which share a common basis, spoken by a people who are genetically and racially similar to each other, and who live in Western, Central, Southern, and Eastern Africa. A Somali and Ethiopian does NOT fit this classification at all. You and I both know that.

Bantus originated from Western Africa and expanded into the Southern and Eastern portion of Africa within the last 1000 years or so.

Either way, if Somalis are "Black" because of our dark-skin, then we can also argue that Sri Lankan Tamils are also black....because they also have dark-skin. Why is a Tigray from Eritrea considered to be "Black", but not a Moroccan? Especially considering the fact that Tigrays are often even lighter-skinned than many Moroccans. And if there exists a "Black Race"....then show me the actual genetic haplogroup which describes this "Black Race" which in fact does not exist at all. Somalis are "Black" in the same sense that Indians and Arabs are both "Brown"....but it means nothing at all. You would never hear a Hashemite Arab group himself in with an Indian simply because they're both brown-skinned. Their DNA is NOT even similar saaxib. There is no "Black Race". There is no "Brown Race". And there is no "White Race"....None of those even exist. There only exists different racial classifications based on DNA and phenotype, THAT'S IT. You might be technically considered to be "Black" while living in American society, but American social standards are not scientific. And I'm being very scientific here.
