You're right, we northerners discuss clan much more openly than southerners do. In the north it's considered normal to ask someone their clan even if you don't know them well, while in the south this would be taboo.
That is because they have no inferiority complex nor feel ashamed about it.

Srsly though, how can someone enter his teens and not know is clan, there is no excuse for that.

I'm proud of my clan and who I am but there's really no need to learn about it at 16. At that age I was more concerned about my favourite musician and where me and my friends will go on the weekend and who to have a crush on next. Damn you people must not have had a childhood.

I didn't even chill with Somalis to even think about Somalia or tribes.

I did all those things you mentioned. It's not like I qabil consumed my life in anyway. I just knew what I was. It didn't change anything.

I qualified my statement by saying it's usually a good indication, which means not always. Good on ur brother for doing well. But, I bet he's studing a technical field and is not really interested in the humanities/social sciences. Just a hunch I have, not that there's anything wrong with this at all.
if you're in science you can still have social interests and vice-versa. There could be other reasons why the kid lacks interest like language barriers etc

Right?!!! Children at that age should not have to know ANYTHING about qabiil and have thoughts about killing people. They should be worried about Pokemon and digimon.

LSA is a forum not a gif website, i get most of mine from various ones but i wont reveal my main source. not necessarily celeb obssesed, but when I'm not attacking sexist, qabilist, racist, anti atheist faraxs, i post other things people might find interesting.
