Dir, including iidoors, are the single largest Somali clan.
It gets a bit tricky deciding who is Dir in Ethiopia as many clans move back and forth between Oromo/Somali.

Why are southerners and none-dir clan obsessed with been the majority? When we know Dir (Iisa,Isaq, Gadabuursi) alone outnumber Hawiye and daarood combined. And if you add the Dir clans in the the South, walle Soomaalida kale oo dhan iyo Dir (Habar Aji),...... I think Habar Aji is more.

But it don't matter really. It's not about the number of digits in a clan but rather the number of your IQ. So far, only habar aji have demonstrated that their IQ is double digits, as oppose to their single digit IQ countrymen

There are already two Dir State (djibouti and Somaliland) and Inshallah, by hook or by crook we will have the third Dir state in the south.

Hawiye in Somalia are less than 3 million if you just look the population in hiiraan shabeelada dhexe and galgaaduud.

Half of banaadir population are Reer Xamar the real Reer Xamar.

South mudug are less than 70ths.

I will say 3 million are good number for hawiye.

In the case of Daarood, the more lands they own the more populations they have.

Daarood Population approximately 7 Million to 8 Million.

Somalia population are less than 20 Million overall.
