'as long as u r not illegitimate'?? Voltage did u have to include that?? Speaking of illegitimacy--i think the theory of somali mytheology should be examined! One theory in particular is the tale of an ogaden pregnant woman with a white sac--who later had sacaad the modern habar gidir sacaad. We should examine for real if Ceyr and Sacaad are really bilogically brothers. Aint that a thought Voltage?
Ceyr and Sacad aren't brothers, as there is a generation between Habar Gidir and Sacad, Siciid. Ceyr was Sacad's uncle.

They indeed are the 2nd largest group in somalia and populate entire large villages all over south somalia.

Are you trying to make your people seem/feel powerful in Somalia.

Get out of here, with you're 30% BS!

Warsangeli are Darood, the Warsangeli Abgaal is a subclan of Warsangeli that became part of Abgaal

I have a copy of a VERY detailed Warsangeli genealogy. The Warsangeli Abgaal are actually two clans, Omar and Abdalle, the youngest sons of the first Warsangeli Gerad, Abdullahi Dhiidiin ibn Kooge ibn Warma'eke ibn Mahamuud Warsangeli.
Abgaal is actually a relatively young Hawiye clan. Ali Abgaal is 13 generations from Hawiye.

Couple hours, mostly research actually, the actual making the tree part is easy.
I like it, it's like a genealogical treasure hunt.

Somalis don't know how lucky they are to have the Abtirsi. Most people have no idea about their ancestry past a few generations.

Hey thanks :)
Still much work to be done, even on the quite detailed Darood side. My Absame and Dulbahante trees are pathetically incomplete.
Tons of work to be done on the Samaale and Sabe side of the tree, as well as the Isaaq tree.

Also there are loose ends such as the Baidari group of clans (Madhibaan, Tumaal and Yibir), the Yahar, and I haven't even addressed the Benadiri, Bravanese and Somali Bantu.

im interested in the pre-clan period of the somalis.

all the clans including dir go back no later than 600 AD.

this is facinating.

I am too, it's difficult because I believe the true ancestry of Hiil was obscured to make way for a genealogy tracing to the more prestigious Aqeel ibn Imran Abu Talib.
Many great Berber dynasties of the Maghreb did the same thing, but at least with them documented copies of their original genealogy remained so we know their true ancestry.

I'm hoping that the Galla Graves hold the answer, as there is writing on them, perhaps documenting ancestry. Once we figure out the alphabet they used we can figure out the true ancestry of the African Somali bloodlines.
