Grant,
U must regret not being Muslim

The religious ability to have more than one wife isn't doing anyone much good in the US these days.
I have a great, great grandfather who had five living wives and 51 living children when he wrote his autobiography in 1881. In 1890 the Mormon Church agreed not to perform any more plural marriages in order for Utah to become a state and end Federal control of the Territory, as they feared the Feds would seize the temples. The marriages continued in Mexico and elsewhere, and there are underground polygamous sects (plural) to this day, albeit they are not part of the official Church:

Dude doesn't look anywhere near 100. As long as it wasn't a forced marriage or an abduction, who cares? He'll be dead soon anyway, at least that should serve as some sort of consolation to the wife. Shit ain't even worth the paper its printed on. Western media sensationalize these types of stories because they see it as a launching pad for their attacks on Islam & Muslim culture. Ignorance breeds these practises, nothing Islamic about it in anyway. The religion actually recommends for there to be a maximum of 6 year difference between the groom & the bride, there's a hadith that discourages huge age gaps between spouses.

I have never heard of such a hadith.
