Re: NBA Finals Thread: Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat
Again Miami just gave away a game. This series is tied 2-2 when in reality it should be 4-0 Miami. Ultimately Miami is clearly the superior team and they will win, but they are playing a retarded game of not taking care of business. Dallas Has not put ONE good game together and they're bound to do that @ some point. The more Miami plays with this team and gives them confidence the worse it is for Miami. Dallas with all their ringless veterens are just 2 wins from a Championship and the closer they get to the finish line, the better chance they have to pull things out.

Poor Dirk. He was frustrated as hell when he was on the bench because of the fever. Luckily they won. You can't sleep on Dallas for a minute even if you have a 20 point lead. They never stop playing. You can't help but admire that about their game.

When you give away games in the finals, you will lose the series.Murax wrote:Again Miami just gave away a game. This series is tied 2-2 when in reality it should be 4-0 Miami. Dallas is winning Game 5 with a healed Dirk from his flu... and his supporting cast stepping up a notch. MIA isn't executing. They are a 3 pointer away from Game 3 from being down 3-1... Miami only played good in Game 1
Dallas going to MIA with a 3-2 advantage would be FANTASTIC.... DIRK DESERVES A RING
LeBron is being strapped by Marion/STevenson and the zone defense... he also is out of rhythm because D-Wade is frying... perfect for Dallas heading to the next game

Dallas has a big chance in winning game 5.

Horta I still hate heats but wade is making me hate em less, the guy is just an awesome player clearly evident by his performance in the last two games, dallas will win but if heat does somehow in another galaxy about 3 universe away win, wade should take mvp not ms james nor posh.

What's going on with Lebron?
is like he doesn't even care about wining anymore, poor Wade, he is trying so hard and being great, but his team-mates are failing him big time.

It seems like there is trouble in paradise already cause Lebron seemed very disconnected from the team last night. Anyway its a whole new ball game now, Best of three and I'm still confident that its a Heat title. King LBJ will get his ring.

Re: NBA Finals Thread: Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat
Queue the panic up in MIA? I think so. Not necessarily regarding whether or not the Heat can win this, cuz truthfully, the Mavericks are average compared to what the Heat can do if they're both playing at the top of their game at both sides of the floor. The Heat's defensive rotations are too sharp, their wings are too athletic and their schemes shrink the court to about the size of the rim when their coverages are working like they can be. Offensively, they're just too dynamic with too many ways to score at the rim and from downtown...the Mavs are deep but with them, the whole is greater than the sum of their parts. With Miami, you just need Wade, James and Bosh all playing at a high level and there's nothing any team can do to slow down the Heat.
The panic though is not about what they can accomplish, cuz they're a dynasty in the making when they all buy in. Except I think Lebron James is having buyer's remorse and is already thinking about a refund. It's clear from his pedestrian performance yesterday that dude simply wasn't trying. How do you have only 3 buckets in 11 attempts and you're the best basketball player in the world? The glaring part of that stat is not his makes, but the fact that dude only tried to put the ball in the basket 11 times when he was the 2nd leading scorer in the league during the regular season. Those are petty from a roleplayer, let alone a superstar with his level of talent and ability. I dunno what it is, but i'd put my house on him being upset with Wade being the star of the series. It's easy to sit up on a podium and say you just care about winning no matter who's team it is, but after Wade made those repeated comments after game 3 of "I had to push my guys" and "I'm the leader of this team so I was trying to lead by example" and "I've been here before, I know what it takes to get it done", you know Lebron has a Texas-sized ego and those comments couldn't have sat well with it. If you ask me, game 4 was Lebron basically saying "aiight fuck it, let's see what you guys can do without me then...let's see D-Wade do this by himself and we'll see who needs who". How else do you explain Lebron having the fewest points ever in his playoff career, especially considering it was game 4 of the NBA Finals where he's halfway to that elusive ring, trophy and champagne shower? I think still he's gonna snap out of it in game 5 and have a Lebron game (around 30 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists) but the message he sent with his actions were louder than any he could have sent with a microphone: this is my team, and we go as I go. Point blank, period.
