Exactly my point. Melo is always yapping about fatwa and Sheikhs, yet here we have one of the best remembered Sheikhs of the Somali people (who was Habar Gidir) making takfiir on Caydiid and his followers and labeling them of having committed "kufr". Yet Melo while following other fatwa he saw on Siad Barre, seems to be totally ignoring this fact and continuing to label Aydeed a "dead Muslim", saying AUN behind his name, and even went as far as to say Aydeed was an "angel" compared to Barre.

Is Melo now going to choose fatwa and Sheikh's opinions based on his tribal political reasons, or will he accept the takfiir on Caydiid by Sheikhs more learned then he could ever be?

His actually right. I asked my uncle. Sh Aweys was waiting for so many years, and finally got accepted into the special classes Sheek boqolsoon used to hold for the new and upcoming ikhwaan Shible. There, Aweys used to sit listening attentively, his hair growing ever whiter at the heaviness of Sheekha's word.

It has very little to do with Qabiil, because there are several HG and hawiye characters that at some stage left Islam too (ie Qeybdiid, cabdi shukri). Sh cumar faaruuq ra did not consider him a kaafir, and as far as i know, Boqolsoon is the only prominent Somali imaam who has come out defiantly to say so.

Caydiid was a murderer, and fits in the league of Yaziid and Al-Hajjaj who i do not think were kafirs. MSB is in the ranks with Saddam Hussein during his time as a leader, and Attaturk.
