There will always be winners and losers, and you know time is on my side!! we will talk only to central government of somalia not tribe-minded semi-autonomy regions.

The irony. :)

The zinji we have nothing to lose any way the talks were canceled we will talk with a person more reasonable perhaps after august.
Executive If the TFG appoints the Minister of education of the TFG i believe he is dhulbahante i don't think that is a problem and Somaliland would welcome that the London conference Communique clearly stated that the Somaliland government and the TFG government should talk No Majeerteenia or others.

we dont care how the Somali side is configured, so long as it has dhulbahante, warsengeli, majerteen and hawiye delegates.

The hell is wrong with you? Your foreign minister explicitly said that the reason he rejected tthe talks is because the two men hail from regions SL claims. They dont wanna talk to people who hail from british somaliland and who are pro Somalia. It has nothing to do with Puntland, but they dont want to sit with people who can say ' you're claiming my land and i dont want anything to do with you'.

Somaliland just wants to keep Dhulbahante and Warsangeli out of the wadahadle. Puntland should be involved and so should Khaatumo cause it concerns their region.

You have a dhulbahante, and all darood qabiils in the TFG, you cant be represented twice :? Do all PL politicians want to leave the TFG and they can have their share as PL?

What's happening here is simple.

No Majeerteen or de-facto Majeerteen should be included in the talks.

Abdikarim,

Wait only 4 months. A more Somaliland friendly President is going to be in Villa Somalia. Siilanyo will not turn down an invitation to chat with his best friend from Xamar.

Bal mid iiga jawaab ...ama adiga ama anybody here.
What is the purpose of these talks ....the 2 parties have radically different
views .....How can they be reconciled.

Mida kale ...how are the formation of states going on in your neck
of the woods ...is it true there'll be 1 hawiye state. Or 2 (1 central and 1 more southern)

Abdikarim86,

Talking never hurts. You can agree to disagree. There are areas of common interest: 1. droughts 2. nomadic pastoralists movement 3. boosting security ties 4. promoting good will through exchange of educational opportunities. 5. Piracy - For example, what to do with pirates who seize somali ships ?
