Jawaari was orchestrated by Sheik Shariif not Majeerteen. He wanted to get rid of Sakiin, because sakiin was his biggest threat. The other Darood followed suite cause it was in their interest.

1) All the top posts in Shabeelada Hoose, Baay and Bakool should be given to Habar Gedir
2) With the recent capture of Marka, Sheik Yusuf Siyaad should reclaim his kingdombe made governeor of Shabeelada Hoose.
3) Cirfo should be allowed to retake Afgooye.
4) Buur Hakaba should be ruled by Al Shabaab, even if the rest of Somalia becomes free

Sakiin had the best chance, better than Sheik Shariif. He was leading things. Sheik Shariif's biggest threat was Sakiin. Jawaari was Sheik Shariifs man. It's politics, get rid of your biggest opponent first.

This Cabdiweli-Sharif Ahmed ticket will not go far. I was one of the few who advocated for CabdiQassim to select Shaatigaduud as PM in Caarta solely to bring Bay Bakool, Shabelle Hoose and Benadir into TNG held territory. If he picked Shaatigaduud, he would have had a better chance of succeeding by bringing a large tract of Somalia and its most populace cities under the TNG.

Sharif will win the presidency.

The darood has split and cannot be regarded as a single block vote anymore. The dhulbahantes are pissed with what they see as a MJ and MX starnglhold on Darood political ambition, I believe they will vote for Sharif.

Abdiweli and Farmaajo are going head to head an one will fall out in the early rounds and I don't see either MJ or MX voting for each other, with Faroole's dislike of Farmaajo he may pull the MJ vote elsewhere in order to secure the Prime Ministerial position.

Sharif Hasan though out of the Presidential race is still out there, he may sway the Rahanweyn vote to whoever ensure he stays relevant in Somala politics, with his dislike for Farmaajo and with Sheik Sharif fighting tooth and nail to get in his cronies to Parliament, the Sheik Sharif/Sharif Hasan unholy alliance could return.


I think it may end up being a Sheik Sharif presidency with either Abdiweli or Abdikarim as PM.

Politics is all about leveraging, if you sideline the MR what do they have-no mamuul, no unity, no state, no international presence. but try the same thing with Puntland, lose 1/3 of Somalia (allegedly lol), sxb they have already implemented the 'ma aqoonsanin' card to Farmaajo why should that be distant option. In Somalia politics, the Puntlanders get what they want and that means everything. They are the only power in place that can counter balance the Hawiye dominance in Somalia, thank god for tolka
