Kumbuli, you are amazing woman. How in the hell did you come to know all of these people. You were the first to spot the man who is in my avatar.

I just can't believe you know almost all of us?

I am related to a very famous person who held the third most important seat of Somali government in the 60s. He is my real uncle from my mother's side. Only Abdirashid and Egal held the other top two seats.

There is Ilmo Dhoodi who are Gadhweyn from Ceerigaabo, not sure if they are Cabdi Xaamud or Cabdalla Xaamud, prominant business people back home in Ceerigaabo.

Damal,

Was that Qab.... or Qoor....?

For three reasons I know people...

1. I listen to my grandfather a lot....
2. My father is well known person so many people contact him.
3. My family is very large and we have almost every clan in my family...

For example; All my Eeddooyin are married outside my clan. My father, my mother, my grand dad and my grandmotehr are all from different clans...My sisters and brothers are mostly married outside our clan... plus my clan..schoolmates, co-workers, neighbors, friends you name it. We do not confine myself with my clan... So my family is like the "United Somalis"

In my family every clan is equally important than the other clan.... Well of course a bad person is bad person.. Smile

Kumbuli, that is why you are very intellectual. My father gave me an advice that the best among us are those who marry from outside their clans. It is a well known theory that marrying within your subclan makes your children slow and strange. For instance, all my grandfathers had married from outside and among them are great , well known men because of their genorosity, bravery, and wisdom.
