Isn't that been the same thing?? never seen a Wahaabi shia, been a Wahaabi is merely based on their equating the Quran with the Sunah.
The Wahaabist hold the saying and deeds of Mohamed holly and complimentary to the Quraan to the exterm.
Whereas Shiya disregard the saying of mohamed and his doings and merely recognize the Quraan alone and above all.
i agree more with the Shiya then the Mohamed worshipping crazy Sunis in particular the wahaabist.

hey, my point is sunnis follow one of the four schools, and wahabis question following any tariqa. they are closer to sunnis but they consider any muslim different than them is not a muslim. i don't care if you are shiat or sunni.

baga, isn't there 4 suni schools? wahabi say they are salafi and don't believe in the 4 schools of sunni. abdiwahab bases his school and tariqa on ibn taymumah not on the four sunni sheiks. how are they sunni?

Listen musika. I never heard some one calles himself wahabi. There's no sect called wahabis. they enemies call them wahabis. They are sunni Hanafi madhab. they call themselves salafi which means they follow first 3 generation of Muslims. They believe in the Islam of the earliest generation. What ever devoloped after that they called bid'a.
Re: can anyone explain those muslim sects.
I agree with hyperactive... Wahabis who follow Imam M. Abdulwahab are part of sunnah..they fellow the Hanafi sect..
Xplaya: you mistaken about the shia.. Shia accept the prophets teaching...most of the shia schools of thoughts have hadeths.. just in most cases, they dont accept the sunni hadeths (mainly narated by Al-Bukhari and Al-Maliki). But in addition to the hadeths, they also have other teachings from the previous Imams..so it is more of a collection of teachings of the prophets and other imams.
To answer the poster question.. I dont think these groups are sects..they are more of political and social movements than religious ones.. and in most cases, their members are sunnah.
