Banana with Spaghetti, Bariis etc etc etc

Post by Sir-Luggoyo »

Is this an exclusive Somali thing or just Koonfur thing?

I recently visited my little nephew's school, by the time I came they were on lunch break, as I was passing by, I saw him with his dish of bariis and banana, kids sitting next to him were disgusted and had that yucky expression even though they have seen him do that countless times.

Is this a unique thing for us, or are there other ethnics who share it with us.

I remember back home, the tastiest dish was Muufo, maraq, macsaro and moos la isku rifaaqay

Sir

It happen to me before and you know my response was we plant the banana and we are the experts on which dish it goes with.
we never argue the french about wine and you Brits about potato
I like baasto with sanuunad and you you but slice bread by the side as a support.

All I can say is Yummy....

But I always add one more thing...Basbaas..(Shigni) and lemon... Smile

Seriously I don't know where we got this habit...It disgusted me when I was served rice with pineapples which they called Caribbean dish.
