Mudulood problem: The greed of Harti Abgaal

Hart Abgaal have chosen to let their greed and pure short term interest come before Mudulood interest and security. It is this greed and shortsightedness that will result in their future marginalisation within Mudulood and Hawiye politics.

Harti Abgaal should take lesson from Ceyr adventurism and greed and it results. For now, it seems that Maxamed Dheere is pushing a Harti Abgaal card within the socalled TFG, wanting to take advantage of it and share in its resources. It is not very different from the situation in Jowhar, where A-Yusuf is a powerless president on paper and real power lies with those that provide security and location. In the case of Jowhar it was Maxamed Dheere providing security and location and thus having the real power. In this current case: The tigre's provide security while Harti Abgaal provides both some form of security and the location: Mogadishu. Thus power lies primarily with the Tigre occupation force, while Harti Abgaal comes second.

This time it will either result in Maxamed Dheere's opportunism and short term interest in succeeding and thus keeping A-Yusuf a powerless figurehead in Mogadishu while the whole show of TFG is performed by Hart Abgaal....or it will go the same road as in Jowhar, were at the end: Maxamed Dheere will yell on the radio when A-Yusuf escapes from the grip Harti Abgaal has on him.



Either way, it is unwise for Mudulood clan to let the interest of one simple Mudulood subclan decide the the future of the whole Mudulood.

Clearly, majority of Harti Abgaal has accepted Tigre occupation and Northeastern presence in Mudulood territory for short term gains. In this they have commited two grave errors:

-putting their selfish clannish interest before Somali National Interest and Security: accepting Tigre occupation.
-putting their selfish clannish interest before the General Interest and Security of Hawiye: allying and accepting Northeastern Tigre lovers.

What should other Mudulood subclans do about this?

If we tolerate and accept this pursuit of selfish goals by one subclan which can endanger the long term interest and security of the whole clan, then there is something fundamentally wrong with our intellectual capacity.

One only has to look at the main protagonist within Harti Abgaal: Maxamed Dheere.

This man is a classic opportunist, during the time that the most dangerous enemy of Mudulood, Aideed created his Salbalaar government, Maxamed Dheere allied himself with him and thus succesfully became the Governor and Mayor of Mogadishu. This was back in 1995, when Aideed was nr1 enemy of Mudulood.

How can we expect this classic opportunist to decide the future of one Mudulood subclan let alone the whole of Mudulood?

Hey am harti abgaal myself & i dont disagree with what you are saying
but once one have some sort of authority, he ignores the rest,
well it started with siyaad barre , (befor that our country potential for growth),
then comes Caydiid wanting to put sacad above anyone else, got their azz kicked by AYR and look history keep repeating itself!!

Clearly the Harti Abgaals commiting the two grave errors are themselves aware of it, but obviously their projected short term gains and their underestimation of the long-term memory of Somalis have pushed them to continue with their erros.

Qeybdiid did his part to secure the Bakaraha but met stiff resistance from the HG.

However, the looting and destruction is being promoted by Maxamed Dheere who has stated publically that Bakaraha is a the centre of terror in Xamar.

Abgaal are pushing for a war with the HG. We will head back to 1991 very soon.
