This thread is a tribute to the brave Biyamaal warriors who fought against the Italians in Southern Somalia.
A Hawiye man made a shirib that was translated as:
I went to loot the Murursade for their plentiful Masago
I went to loot the Abgaal for their plentiful Digir
I went to loot the Biyamaal for some of their Valour
They can be justifiably called the Dhulbahante of the South.

''Dhulbahante of the South.''
What are you talking about, The Biimaal conducted and led their own campaigns, they were no soldiers of Seyyid Abdulle. They had diplomatic relations with the Dervish as they led delegations to Illig, but they were independent of the mainly-Northern based Dervish struggle.
I can see this is the first attempt of you to incorporate the great Biimaal history into your Dervish-focused Somali history, a first attempt to link the Biimaal struggle to that of Dervish so at the end the Biimaal struggle will be seen as an offshoot of the Dervish struggle.
Do no intermingle historical seperate events, Southern Somalis not only fought against Colonialism but they even fought against the Dervish penetration of Hiiraan and other Southern regions. In pastoral society, your land is holy, no one can rule you in your own lands no matter what kind of ''holy'' nationalistic justifications.
