ABDULLAHI YUSUF

Post by JeyR »

[b]How come Whole world supporting Abdullahi yusuf? Shouldn't he be the one that the world should ignore?

There are three things that Abullahi yusuf got support.

1) when he went to Kenya he represented him self as a President who rule much of the somalia(puntland)
2) he had unstopable support from his tribe who seems to hate him but also love him.
3)he had mad money than anyone else who went to Kenya (puntland Money)

How could they possible do this

1) How could they use neighbor Country-Ethiopia, AU army and United Nations help them gain control of Mogadishu... they got the whole world countries recognize them and help them.
2) how could they make such diplomacy with the arab and Muslim world still helping them financially even after thy crushed the islamic courts?

3) How could they be so patient in changing from weak government in exile in Nairobi to Villa Soomaalia ( Presidential House) in Mogadishu?

4) How could they outsmart the tribal warlords who controlled Mogadishu for last 16 years and make them shut up and watch the game?

5)How could they mobilize such somali army composed of all somali tribes fighting side by side to restablish law and order in Mogadishu and patrolling Mogadishu?

6) How could they have such guts and determination to sacrifice so many lives and and property to gain control of Mogadishu with all criticism aganist them.

7) How could Abdullah Yuusuf get Military strong men , Politicians from all clans work for him and trust him.. although some of his close tribesmen criticize him like Ali khalif Galayr, Jinni Boqor and jaamac cali Jaamac, Abdiqadir Haji Husein

Finally Does the guy have magic or is he politically, diplomatically and Militarily smart? How could he succeed like that in Mogadishu where Dr Cabdiqaasim and professor Galayr failed.

I changed my mind about this Abdullah yuusuf... I admire him ..The guy is tactful, determined and very diplomatic in achieving what he sees right and is willing to sacrifice what ever it takes....I think this president is what soamlia needs today and the somali parliament and the world saw that and support him.
Good Job! president Abdullah yuusuf and Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Geedi..these guys are my heroes....long life to them!!! aameen

That is so true, His fellow Harti Clan members such as Proff Ali Khalif Galaydh and Jamac Ali Jamac would be killed today by A.Yusuf if they went to Xamar.

The strength and also weakness of Abdullahi Yusuf is that he gets what he wants by any means necessary. He is an intelligent man with bad interntions and would use anyone to achieve political goals. That is dangerous...

How he outsmart the warlords is the most significant point in his success. Powerful warlords are now his followers. Cajiib Somali politics is so unpredictable.

I wonder what warlords he outsmarted Laughing I find it strange how people give A-yusuf credit for the demise of the Mogadishu warlords.

The main warlords of Mogadishu were taken care off by the Islamic courts, if these courts never stepped into the political scene A-Yusuf would have been stuck forever in Baidoba.

Anyways, the main warlord of the Mogadishu warlords is out there: Maxamed Dheere. A-yusuf escaped him once in Jowhar, can he pull it again in Muqdisho?

I agree with Somaliwayn, if it hadn't been for the Islamic Courts c/yusuf would have been stuck in Jowhar. The warlords had no choice but to side with him.

The warlords support Abdullahi Yusuf now more then ever. While TFG was in Jowhar they were still doing what they normaly do and as you said the UIC kicked them out. These Warlords could unite and go against A.Yusuf but no,..........Therefore in my eyes wa lagu ciyaare....They are the biggest losers.

Executive,

Wrong, warlords support no one but themselves. The Mogadishu warlords, most of them, are out of the picture and are lay lowing till the right time presents itself for them to recover their scattered image.

For the main warlord Maxamed Dheere the game is all too good, from big man in Jowhar, he has become big man in Benadir. He still has his weapons, he has succeeded in rallying large sections of Harti Abgaal and other Abgaal to his side, he and Geedi are on one line and came to the conclusion that Northeastern Tigre Lovers do not have a monopoly on the gains of the TFG. It seems that these Benadir Tigre Lovers are in the process of monopolizing the TFG, like Maxamed Dheere tried to tapp into this lucrative papergovernment in Jowhar. Why would these Benadir Tigre Lovers otherwise invest a much deal in getting the circus conference from the ground, supporting the Tigre occupation by tolerating it.

As for the warlords, they had no real power. They depended on pure intimidation of the civilian to show how powefull they were. When the UIC came, it became clear to the people of Mogadishu these warlords were just paper tigers.

Still to this day warlords as A-Yusuf, Maxamed Dheere have no real power. They are paper tigers who depend on the Tigre presence to survive in Mogadishu.

A lot of these warlords have no legs and nowhere to turn, so yes, A/Y does have them in his grip. What kind of power do Geedi and Dheere have? A two-hundred strong police force? WOW..gimme a break!

A/Y picked the weakest tag-a-long warlords to follow him; this goes big in his favor because they will never have the power to challenge him, all the while giving him what he wants, which is enough that they can provide.

O.K, O.K lets seperate facts from fiction. For one I will give AY credit for some deft political maneuvering, that his predecessors (Glalayr, A/qassin) couldn't do. However one big, big area of concern is this: He came this far using the terrorism card. However now that card has gotten him as far as he can go, and now the U.S, Ethiopia and the entire world feel confident that theres no "terrorists" in Somalia. They now know its 100% back to a tribal conflict, and Ethiopia and the U.S are not going to be sucked into it. Ethiopia will withdraw sometime after the conference with hundreds of hundreds of millions of dollars in their pockets (payments from the U.S), Abgal and HG will duke it out in Xamar, AY will become president of Puntland and the Marehan will keep Jubbaland. Back to square 1. Then the game will start again, with a new "TFG". Talk about a Merry-Go-Round

Wow some of you guys are missing the whole point.

For those who said the ICU kicked out the war-lords from Mogadishu have you ever asked yourself what brought about the ICU in Mogadishu they sure didn't exits the last 17 years.

The TFG determination to get to Mogadishu brought about the ICU because they knew divided War-lords couldn't stop Abduallhi Yusuf's Government from Mogadishu. So the ICU took care of the war-lords so they could have one united force that could somehow stop the tfg from getting close to Mogadishu.

The ICU out played the war-lords and Abduallhi Yusuf out play the ICU and that is why the is in Mogadishu today in Villa Somalia.

JeyR you made great points indeed.

"Finally Does the guy have magic or is he politically, diplomatically and Militarily smart? How could he succeed like that in Mogadishu where Dr Cabdiqaasim and professor Galayr failed.

I changed my mind about this Abdullah yuusuf... I admire him ..The guy is tactful, determined and very diplomatic in achieving what he sees right and is willing to sacrifice what ever it takes....I think this president is what soamlia needs today and the somali parliament and the world saw that and support him.
