Mogadishu 09, August.07 ( Sh.M.Network)- The Arab League has reacted to criticisms from the officials of Somalia's defeated Union of Islamic Courts. Early this week, Sheik Sharif Sheik Ahmed, the chairman of the Courts in Eritrea condemned the League for supporting the transitional government and ignoring the human rights violations by thousands of Ethiopian troops in war-ravaged Somalia.
According to Asharqalawsat, the Arabic online newspaper based in Britain, a senior Arab diplomat who was named denied the accusation, indicating that the Arab organization overlooked only people who care nothing about peace.
He said his League was firmly engaged in establishing peace in Somalia which has seen no effective central government since the ouster of former president, Mohammed Siad Barre, in 1991.
"The League was first international organization which campaigned for the withdrawal of Ethiopian forces from Somalia. We are impartial in Somalia's political crises. We are going to be biased with any group," he told the paper.

The governments of the Arab League are seculars, so it's natural they support a secular Somali government (TFG). Like they say, birds of the same feather fly with its kind. And since those secular governments are clients/puppets of America/Europe, they support what/who their masters tell them to support.

For some reason the two faced araps don't want the somalis to have peace.
They support the ethiopians in secret and pretend to be neutral to the somalis.
Fcuking useless araps.

Theres no such thing as a non secular Gov't. All of these Arab leage states are split amongst oprrutunists who use the Islamic name for their interests, or actually more honest Gov'ts like Egypt, Syria etc. who do not claim an Islamic agenda at all.
It seems like our ICU friends, who used foreigners against their own brothers and countrymen are angry over the lack of support coming from the Arabs. What an idiotic lot.

The ICU can count on support from Islamists, the global Islamic insurgency and countries like Iran.

Luq,
I am anti-UIC from the beginning. But I have to say that they never used foreigners, those were just hyped lies. They were just better organized, trained/discplined militia, high morale, and new ways of warfare. That was their winning formula.
I am 100% sure that they never used foreigners, because we would obviously have seen them either dead or captured alieve.
The only foreigners were the Somalis from abroud with Western pasports

Arabman,
I don't see "Global Islamist Insurgency" coming to Somalia. The Somali people won't stand for it or anything of the sort. While patriotic anti-Tigray regime Somalis will fight against Xabashi, it will be due to the self determination of the Somali people, not some extreme Wahabi docterine that is trying to be forced down our throats by hypocritical terrorists.

Somaliweyn, there were contingants of Afghanis,Arabs, Pakistanis and some Sudanis in Kismayo. Their passports were even confiscated after a battle in Buaale some time ago. Sh Hassan Turki even admitted as such during a speech he gave in Kismayo! However I do agree with you that they were orginized, but the most important thing was how they betrayed the trust of the people whos supported them. Their movement was hijacked by "reformed" warloards who brought their demise.

The governments of the Arab League dont want islamic government in the region thats why they supported SPLA and John Garang when Hasan Al Turabi was the leader of Sudan they even supported Aljerian military when they took the power by force after the Aljerian Islamists FIS and GIA won the election
Sheekh Sherif needs to learn a little bit about the world affairs evev his host Afawerki is afraid of Eritrean Islamists
