To counter the threat of attacks in the bullet-scarred Somali capital, the Somali government is said to be trying to create a Baghdad-style safe "Green Zone" in Mogadishu to protect senior officials and foreign visitors from insurgent attacks.

The Somali capital seems to be falling apart in so many ways with roads broken and pitted, buildings blasted and burnt out and residential areas often swimming in sewage, yet all C/laahi and Co. could think of is a "Green Zone" similar to the flourishing one in Iraq which has concrete reinforcements and road blocks designed to slow and impede traffic...Ridicules? Yes! But I blame Mogadishu residents for bringing this on themselves since they refuse to come out against insurgents...They sure are in for a real occupation now lol

With this Iraq-style "Green Zone" in play now in Mogadishu there is really little you can do since it insures the restriction of your comings and goings in your own stronghold...All you can do really is hope, I hope you don't give up on it as well lol
