What if we were as revolutionary as the Vietnamese?
Fighting the Chinese Middle Kingdom, the French, Japanese, and Americans, and then the Chinese again, and then invading Cambodia, Laos, etc.

Fighting the Xabashis, British, Italians, ourselves, Kenya, and invading Xabashis; I think that's revolutionary enough for one day.
And if it makes you feel any better, they're 90 million, we're 9 million.

Vietnam is a nation with a glorious history, often overlooked. Lately it has become my passion to learn their history.
How this poor nation survived against all odds to fend of Chinese imperialism, French imperialism, Japanese imperialism, American imperialism (more bombs were dropped in one operation then was dropped in all of ww II) unpatriotic imperialism, invade the Khmer Rouge and dispell them, invade Loas, fight the chinese again and give them a bloody nose.

Yeah, Vietnam has really profited from all of this violence. Look at it today. A modern state being emulated by everyone world-wide.............

Look at this idiot, judging everything by material worth. If you must know the only reason Clinton normalized relations with Vietnam was because of the American business community. Vietname is like a ripe virgin, and despite everything that happened they weren't going to sit back and watch the Asians and Europeans hog all the lucrative investments Vietname has to offer.

Are you mad because America couldn't defeat them?

You guys are hillarious. You make it sound as if a communist victory in Vietnam was a good thing for the Vietnamese people. Ditto for laos and Cambodia. I live on the laotian border, and when you cross from Thailand you go into the stone age.

Yep, exactly what Somalia needs, more "revolutionary fervor". There clearly hasn't been enough violence in Somalia yet.
