Somalis are product of Galla(Oromo) and Arab, hence the soft hair and non-african jareer appearance.

Northern Somalis are mostly pure, Southern Somalis are mixed (Arab, Bantu, Italian). But in the end, Somalis are Kushites, and Kushite is a Negroid Sub-Branch.
There are 3 Negroid Sub-Branches I know of: Kushite (Somali, Afar, Oromo), Nilotic (Massai), and Bantu (Rwandan, Congolese, most of Africa).

My grandfather (dad's dad) had a Xabashi wife for a few years, but that's the only impure person my family has ever come across.

Isaaq are the only Arab Somalis, the rest are Kushitic.
