A MUSLIM YOUTHS DUA

[HELWAA]

SALAAM

Oh Allah I long for the time I was so dear,
dear to You, and we were so near,
I could feel You in my heart, infront and behind me
but Im losing my faith Lord, I can no longer see clearly.

Im stuck in daily fitnah,
these trials and tribulations.
My brothers cry out in pain,
and im too busy heading towards damnation.
Im but a youth Allah,
I want You right beside me
Im but a youth Allah,
Only You can guide me
Guide me to the truth,
guide me and all youth..

Turn me away from fitnah,
protect me from zina.
I fall so easily into it Oh Allah,
and I know You dislike it so.
But dont ever leave my side Oh Allah
because I dont want to fall.
I try and I try,
To rise high again,
But I fall weak and short
And Im delving into fitnah again.
I cry and I cry to You Allah,
dont ever leave me stranded,
As I believe in You Allah
And I know Your mercy overcomes Your Anger.

I want you to guide me
onto the straight and narrow
I want you beside me
Everyday, today and tomorrow.
I easily slip, and I admit I fall
But Im but a youth Allah,
struggling in this world.
I know this life is temporary
but do I truly understand
for if I understood this point Allah, I wouldnt do corruption in your land.
How many have I misguided
How many have I encouraged
Towards that which You dislike,
and away from that which you cherish.
Im the cause of fitnah Oh Allah,
so I ask for Your help
I ask You for Your mercy Oh Allah,
and I ask You for Your strength.
I ask you to forgive me
and set straight my affairs,
Make this dunya easy for me
And keep me away from shaytaans flares.

For I fall so easily into fitnah Oh Allah
But I am but a youth
Who asks You for Your guidance,
to guide me to the truth
Protect me from zina, protect me from haraam
protect me from Your anger, and protect me from shaytaan

I turn to You with tears,
but how I know im foolish so
I cry to You now Allah, I know Ill forget by tomorrow.
So stay alive in my heart Allah
Inside the blood in all my veins
Remind me of Your punishment oh Allah
and remind me of the grave.
Dont let me forget hell,
the punishment for those who stray
guide me to the light Allah,
and protect me from any worldly play.

Be the light inside my heart, be with me and never part ,
dont let me be pulled down by shaytaan
and when i return to You, let me be in a state of imaan
Place me under Your throne oh Allah,
grant me a Crown of Light
for Im struggling in this world Allah,
Im struggling with all my might

For I am but a youth Allah,
I want you right beside me,
For I am but a youth,
Only You can guide me..
Guide me to the truth,
Guide me and all the youth..

For Im simply struggling in Your path.. struggling and falling so..
Guide me and set me straight... so I can meet you with My Crown tomorrow..
