Ethiopians dwelling in Mogadishu

Ethiopian Soldiers with their families have started dwelling in the largest districts of
Mogadishu, the capital of war-torn Somalia.

At least 10 thousands of Ethiopian Soldiers with their families were breaking into houses in the Hamar Bileh and Ali Kamiin districts, the Press TV correspondent in Somalia reported on Tuesday.

The owners of the houses and their families were forced into leaving their houses few months ago when Ethiopian troops shelled the districts.

The move has raised concerns among Somali civilians as they are being forced to leave their houses.

More than 250,000 Somali civilians have been displaced in Mogadishu since Ethiopian troops backed by the US began their military intervention in the country.

There is no doubt that the US is behind this and seeking to displace the Somali people and replace them with Ethiopians, said Hallimo Abdi Hassan a mother of 9 children whose house in the Ali Kamiin District is occupied by Ethiopians.

Insurgents have distributed leaflets warning that the Ethiopians' residences will be targeted by mortar shells. The leaflets said many Somali children have been killed in cold-blood by the Ethiopian military's fire.
