Anwar Al Sadat was named 1977 Man of the Year for Time magazine... he made peace Isreal but why? Because american and british secret military was fighting along side with Isreals... so Egypt could not able to face great powers force that is wise man like sadat make peace ....

If this was 'wise words' then i wonder why the messenger of Allah swt didnt make peace with the mushrikin during battle Badr or why the khalifah of Umar r.a didnt make peace with the persians and romans.

The messenger of Allah swt he offered to make peace with mushrikinta but they refused ...

He recognized Israel as a state and gave up claims to the holly land thats UN-ISLAMIC.

Traitors he deserved to get shot much earlier, and he wasn't great in any sense of the word.

You need to study arab history or egyptian history Sadat he was not traitor, in fact he is the only arab leader who face and fought by the Isreals .... As I already mentioned he made peace with Israel because AMERICAN AND EUROPEAN troops were fighting along side with Isreal ... Egypt alone could hold and fight powerful america. What other Arab countries did was just speak bla..bla..bla and not joint the war ....so Sadat stop the war and made the peace.... this is what hero do to save the bloodshed of his own people ....Sheikh Sharif and others should follow this example......

Sadat gave up claims to the holy land thats UN-ISLAMIC. Its the third holiest site for Muslims for god sakes and he said they have a right to have it.

The only reason he went to war in 74 is because all his generals wanted to and it was either he go to war or he would be thrown out and one of his generals go to war.

Saxiib, you wrong Sadat he did not gave up holy lands "MASJIDUL AKHSA" when the war end isreal and egypt signed camp david peace agreement and UNITED NATION´s peacekeepers were responsible to look after holy land...it was Palestinian themselves who gave to isreal nor egypt not sadat ..

FAH: This isn't clan politics in Somalia, it is in reference to the holiest land to Islam outside the hijaz, how can you sign a treaty saying that yahuud have a right to it?
