They want to lash this 19 yr. old Shia girl for being in a car w/ unrelated Sunni men and then being gang-raped by 7 people.
OK, if they wanna lash her then they should kill the other guys and then lash her after they're dead.
If they were Somali, Egyptian, Bangladeshi you'd best believe their heads would be chopped off 'in accordance w/ Sharia law'

Let's see them carry through that shyte fist before I unleash my indignation on the madafakas

Ever since back when I was in the land and they've imposed that ban on our livestock I've had very little sympathy for the Sauds , laakiin Allah requires us to even be fair to them { as if they were gaalo

j/k}

But then again maybe THEY may get gangraped in jail so I guess that's their idea of an eye for an eye.
sick guys...they will probably come out in jet black niqaabs......a few more shemales in the Saudi population.
Ina Baxar,
According to the article, Sheikha Hillary Clinton is complaining so they will probably drop the lashing charge on them.

"Four of the men were convicted of kidnapping - but the court also sentenced the woman and her friend to receive 90 lashes each for the crime of "illegal mingling".
Last week the court increased the woman's sentence to 200 lashes and six months in prison. "
They can't even explain their stupidity, waaxay illegal mingling and what does that got to do with gang rap!,
Is it because she is Shi'i toolo? or is their justice system that messed up? punishing a victim for gettin rapped?

+ chilli,
Clearly she deserved it. I'm just wondering why they don't put her in jail too. Preferably a male jail at that.

Ina Baxar,
I am just practicing the art of contradictory posts. I want to be as good as some of the forumers here.

I know it’s a customary things 2 disadvantage and persecute women --- But certainly not 2 this extent. She was physically maltreated by 7 different men, and yet again they left scot-free, whilst the girl is being singled out 4 chastisement!!!. Bloody onion-eaters.......

This is a classic example of the expression “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing” Don’t believe everything you read guys. The facts of the story are as follows
1) This shia girl, went to the mall to meet an ex boyfriend with whom she had a relationship with.
2) This guy had taken compromising pictures of her while they were going out so she went to the mall to collect/demand these pictures back as he threatened to make these photos public and shame her.
3) On their way out of the Mall the couple were kidnapped by seven guys
4) The guy and girl were both gang raped by these seven guys
5) The seven guys were arrested, sentenced to 100 lashes each and given prison terms ranging from 2 to 9 years each
6) The original couple was sentenced to 90 lashes each for their unlawful relationship.
7) The male victim accepted his sentence and I guess is hiding due to shame

The girl challenges the sentence, appeals to a higher court and gets the media to exhort pressure on the courts system.
9) The higher court upholds the initial verdict and doubles her sentence to 200 lashes and 6 months in jail for using the media to influence the court.
10) she is appealing to the higher courts ruling and the story has gone global and has been distorted beyond recognition.
So this is not a case of double standards or bias against women as many people here think. There are two different offenses and two different sentences here. You can disagree with Islamic laws and norms but the courts only applied the laws. Most people think that this girl is being punished for being in the company of the seven guys that raped her or even worse, they think she is being punished for getting rapped and most people dont even know that the seven guys have been severely sentenced and punished.
