Does it buy time for somaliland to recapture Las Anod and gain control of the territories of Sanaag and Sool? Somaliland seems ruthless in establishing it's independence even if it means cooperating with ethiopia aka the shaydaan. So i'm guessing they're taking advantage of somalias suffering and moving with haste to establish autonomy and hold of Las Anod.
