Every now and then, particularly on a Sunday, years apart, i take out my cellphone, hide my number and start dialing numbers that i keep in my head. I don't know why i do this, but its probably the weirdest and some will argue the creepiest thing anyone can do, so what is it? these numbers that i keep in my head, that i memorized, are the phone numbers to girls that i used to know, dating back almost a decade. girls that i used to have a thing with, some serious, some not...but always a very good friendship. when i call them and they answer, i never say hello, or anything, and after few seconds, they hang up. so i call back a few years from now, why do i do this? the truth is, i sort of miss them. their voices, albeit breif, reminds me of a certain time and place, a moment in time. I have the feeling some of them know it's me, and they stay on the phone longer than usual, the others are just oblivious and funny, just like the person i knew years ago. some people change, some don't, the only sure way to find out is, well, time.
