Do you know any Somali people with dogs. Somalis are terrified, petrified and absolutely horrified by these creatures, whilst I'm one helluva dog person. My favourite is the german shepherd.

i even seen somali men who are scare of cats

All somalis have a pathelogical fear of dogs, besides their disgusting animals, i prefer cats.

Not Somali but I used to be terrified of dogs as a small child. I love em now.
I have two. A cute little white toy poodle and I adopted a Chihuahua a few months back.

I love dogs and used own one when I lived in Africa. He was mutt: mix of a Lab & German Shepherd. He was very fierce and kept away the tuugo.

As far as i know as long as u dont touch em when they are wet or their mouth its fine to touch a dry Dog though if am wrong am giving up my husky siberian dog.

My uncle used to have these two big German Shepherds he got from the East German Embassy in Xamar.

Those fockers were mean and kept the tuugo out of his house during the height of the bililiqo in 1991.

Its not so much as fear of the dog as a creature, but as a najiis.Somalis have been bread to dread dogs coz of najiis, hyginicly challenged.Its an islamic and culture fear- a concern for salaad jeebis than dogphobia. But its amusing to see Grown up somali old men cross the road quickly with terror on their eyes.



PS: I love Golden retrievers.Very hollywoodish.

u dont sound like a poodle type person. Dog ownership goes with tempraments.A person has to match the character of the dog.A poodle is for an extremely feminine delicate owner, a girly girly type.U ismahaan r VERY FAR from delicacy. Your size and temprament--goes good with Bulldogs. Or at least a german sherpard.
