Human pragmatism.Kibaki has done more than most world leaders.Even the opposition admits as much. In 5 years the per capita income has risen from an embarrassing 430 $ to 650$,.leading intelligent Kenyas to wonder what would have been had he assumed power.Most around the country are feeling the effects.Already this country is now regarded as a middle income country and not in the category of least developed , unlike everybody else in this part of the world.
In looking at your posts on this issue it is obvious that Simple Abdi, the worlds greatest analyst on anything and expert on everything is doing your thinking for you-before I forget your self pity,as usual is showing.The Muslim vote,which includes Indians and Arabs is not the Somali vote.They have no complaints and neither do intelligent Somalis,of whom fortunately there are a number who see the police commissioner,former head of LSK and increasing numbers of Somalis getting into high finance;the new frontier of an increasingly sophisticated economy as not evidence of discrimination.
The vote is actually about the urealistic unattainable expectations of shoeshiners,cooks, watchmen and similar unfortunates trapped in the prism of low education ad anti-Kikuyuism,which will be with us for a while.One brilliant woman waryaa here ecapsulated their thought patterns thusly:"Kikuyus must go."
I think not. We'll only be proving Dr.Watson right.Human pragmatism does not dismiss the ma who actualises tangible benefits for the majority!!
