We have lost a huge chunk of our land to Ethiopia. I notice Marehan Kingdom going from Texas Size to a peanut size Newhampshire, whatever happened? :)) Real reer guuraa iga dheh, they just pakced up one day and moved to the South.

I believe marehan were pushed away from their regions by the bicidyahan and other clans, so they started moving to the south.

Marehan lost a lot of resources first fighting for Ahmad Gurey in Ethiopia and then afterwards defending Harar from the Abyssinian/Portuguese army. My theory, which has no evidence to back it up but it's my theory anyways, is that the Marehan lost too much from these and the people they ruled defeated them and took over, except their "hometowns", where they all moved to after that.

My theory about the Ajuran collapse is the Portuguese took over the merchant traffic, which the Ajuran depended on. They were weakened enough that the same thing happened to them.

MJs yaa siiyay Hobyo saxib? The renegade brother of the King Osman of the east came as a guest at first telling his hosts he was recruiting and building an army to invade his brother's kingdom. He begged for a land and needed assistance. He was given the land and before the locals knew it, he slaughtered them and decalred himself a king of Hobyo with the help of foreign mercenaries. A crook man indeed he was :)) Eventually, His army was exclusively made of Sacad. My great grandfather and Suldan Cali Yusuf even had an encounter I am not discussing.

some of this maps are incorrect --with the tribes things --I don't think there was something called "Harti" at the 13 century --let alone the Daroods themselves are sayin that they come to Somalia in the 11 century --and you talking about Majartiin and Harti in the 7 century!

The first use of Harti come out after 1920s!

James i got a question.. Your claim for making maps you say is "your a nut for history", Ok why would a white dude be so interested in a small boring somali history.

Im somali and if i would to study history to be honest i would spend more time studying the history of other civilizations such as Rome, Persia, Islamic empire..
