Somali Fruits

Post by guhad122 »

I know many of you are too young to remember anything about back home but does anyone of you remember the natural fruits of Somalia. I am talking about the ones that grow wildly in the forest and the ones I recall include:
Miro such as ho-hob
Goosay
Doonbir
What do you remember?

I was pretty young when I left Somalia but I always remembered the smell of Seytuun. When my family lived in Mogadishu, we had Seytuuns grewing in our yard.

Murcood is very good one. Damn that thing was good. Wouldn't it be nice if someone wrote about the rich nutrition and vitamin contents of these wild fruits. I never forget how used to like Hob-Hob.
