if you re read what i wrote i blaim both of them. isiyas iyo meles zenawi waa kuwii somali basaboor loo dhiibaay maantanaa sidaan beey yeelleen waa arrin laa yaab leeh. lakiin atleast meles zenawi waxaa laa oraan karaa inuu roonyahaay towards his policy to somalia than aforwoki. nacam hadee somali fara badaan soo galleen addis ababa is shaqoo fara badan loo dhiibeey i dont see aforwoki doing this nothing else than using the opposition groups.

well said. thats why the pro icu and al shabaab somalis think that eritrea policy towards somalia is good thats because they share a common enemy. eritrea is more lucky than ever cuss aforwoki found a new base that he wants to trap the ethiopian soldiers cuss he knows that another war with ethiopia would be suicide for him and his economy that was damaged already by the last war.so their is one final solution for him and thats is by using the opposition groups against the tfg and ethiopia. but if you look it on the ground nor is aforwoki helping the innocent ppl beeing cought by the crossfire nor the tfg nor meles zenawi. indeed their is something in it for him he cought a big fish you can say.

Indeed Fagash Killer many good points, like when the Eritrean Armed forces destroyed the ethiopian government why did they not help the ethnic somalis in Ogaden break away from Ethiopia and why did they make sure that their Tigrays cousins took full power over all of Ethiopia.

The truth is that Eritreans are not our friends, they are indeed closer to meles and the Tigrays than they could ever be close to us, but its just convenience of having the same problem with meles and Ethiopia that forces us to supposedly be friends.

At the end of the day Ethiopia is a much greater enemy and a much greater threat to the interest and stability of Somalia, Ethiopia has plans on expansion while eritrea does not.
Eritrea won't give a fcuk if the somalis annex Ogaden in the near future.

Therefore we somalis have alot to gain in the future by being partners with Eritrea, who could turn out to be a handy ally of Greater somalia if we are true towards Eritrea's interest.

The issue here is that Eritrea has now realised that they need us more than we need them, Eritrea is a new small country, with a population of only 3 million surrounded by bullish larger Ethiopia that is always looking for an excuse to go to war with Eritrea and annex it.
The Amahara's are the biggest headaches that the Eritreans have, they are a people intent of bringing back Eritrea into the ethiopian empire and the only people that can neutralise the Amhara's are the somalis.

A greater and stronger somalia is in the interest of Eritrea as well as a strong united Eritrea definitely being in the interest of somalia and the disadvantage of Ethiopia.

Only time will tell how things play out.
