Presentation....
I've got a presentation for Project which i lead, along with my colleagues, about the different Formulation of Blends used for our devices. It's infront of my team-leader, our section head and the CEO of our company along with the rest of my work colleagues.
I am seriously dreading it, giving presenations has never been my strongest thing.
Is there any Du'a i can read? Do you have any advice to give me to calm my nerves?
Any advice is welcome.
The presentation is going to be held this coming Monday.

Eyecontact. Look each and everyone in the room in the eyes why you hold your presentation. Talk slowly. You call the shots. Your in control.

maddy sister
whenever i have test or exam and im nervious
i read mo3awaidayeyn and surat samad.
for me it does magic.
you only need to train your brain to trust
any aayah or du'a you already know top of your head
automatically calms you down.
also i never go out without wodu
and start with bismillah.
good luck and i'll do du'a for you my dear.

Brocolli-
I don't know if this happens to just me, but when it comes to eyecontact i do look at the audience but i don't "see" them if that makes any sense? They're all just a blur.

Shiekh hyper gave you wonderful advice
Try to relax. Try to kick off your presentarion with a joke, but it must be related to the subject and short. That will give you more power to control. Get a bottle of water, that is always a good way to hide your fear. Good luck and if you get a promotion for this you owe snet TEA

Re: Presentation....
All of the above and don't forget to smile and use a pleasant voice. Be charming, make them melt.

Re: Presentation....
Madd, I always find Ayatul Kursi very calming. I wouldn't advice that you look at your audience in the eye, especially if there are many of them, you have to pretend like you're looking at them but not really focus on them. Prepare ahead because you'll feel less nervous when you know what you're talking about.
Most importantly, don't see the sudden chemical rush in the pit of your stomach as nerves, think of it as excitement and tell yourself that you're good and prepared enough to give the presentation otherwise you wouldn't be there.
Remember there is nothing to fear bur Allah

Xidigow-
I'm quite sarcastic when it comes to jokes, not really sure if it's gonna work. I might end up being the only one laughing at my jokes, how embaressing. If that happens i'm gonna jump out the nearest window! If it does go well (and i get my long awaited promotion) i definitely owe Snet one
Alchemist-
How can you even joke about such a thing? My whole career depends on this, and now all i'll be thinking about is whether i've forgotten to zip my black trousers or not! My mind will go blank and all i'll be able to say is...erm...well....erm... my favourite colour is Red! Thank you for that frightening image
Starscream-
You know me, i'm a charmer always was one, and will always be one. As for the pleasant voice, i'll try not to sound too sexy
Eyes-only-
Sis thank you very much for that. I will definitely try it!

Lol madd, break a leg.
People can see right through that, this ain't high school. She should engage the audience as much as possible. Eyecontact, open bodylanguage, the works.
Relax, this is not standup comedy? She's not gonna bomb on stage, she'll be informing.

Re: Presentation....
Alchemist, you getting extra nasty lately. Are you at the age where everything relates to sex?
Anyway Mad, when your giving a presentation make sure you know your subject and what your talking about. Stay with the basics of the subject unless your required to give a further detailed presentation, make it light for your audience and stay away from confusing them and last thing always stay ahead of your next point, don't get stuck.
As far as eyecontact is concerned. Pick a person your every comfortable with within the audience, get them seated at a middle point in the audience if possible and that should be your eyecontact target. I'm not saying only look at them but when you done looking each and everyone of your audience in the eye lightly not hard then come back to your target sort of like a resting point and then of you go again till you done.
SMILE AND STAY CALM.
That works for me.

Re: Presentation....
When people get nervous...they tend to upseak and talk really fast...so try to take a deep breath and talk slow...u may feel like ur speaking very very slow...but its all in ur mind...
Also...take a paper clip or an elastic band in ur hand...it helps channel your nerves on something.....

btw, remember the duca Nabi Musa made in suratul Ta-Ha
(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; And remove the impediment from my speech, So they may understand what I say: ..." (Qur'an 20: 25-28)
