THE Los Angeles Lakers revived the NBA finals series with an 87-81 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 3 today.

The Lakers closed the gap to 2-1 with the victory on their own court and kept alive their chances of winning the seven-game series.

Thye match was close all day after the first quarter ended in a 20-20 stalemate.

The Lakers led by six points at halftime but the Celtics had taken a two-point lead by the end of the third.

The Lakers led by four points with under three minutes to go and although the Celtics closed that to two, the home team raced away in the dying stages.

The Celtics won the opening two matches in Boston 98-88 and 108-102.

The fourth game will be played in LA on Friday morning, Melbourne time.

you might be on to something Alluring......I was a little suspicious of how open Vujacic was the whole game given how good a shooter he was.

anyways, if the Lakers can only win by 6 points with Paul Pierce/KG having really bad games and Kobe/Vujacic having monster nights, I'll take my chances.

Gedoboy, YOU have to consider the fact that the Lakers played under enormous pressure and simply couldn't afford to go down 0-3. They missed a lot of shots and their big men(Odom and Gasol) played terribly. The pressure is somewhat off, You can quote me that tomorrow, the Lakers will whoop the Celtics really good.
