Another Somali Guy Shot dead in Minneapolis today

I knew It was comming. Holding a party inside a club and inviting all feuding gang members. Tonite at 5:45 am, Minneapolis lost yet another guy to revenge killing.

This killing is related to the little guy who was killed two months ago. Basically, It's a bitter beef between two families. My allah clam the tention between the two.

Kramer, It happened in a Hotel near Brooklyn Center. Apparently, a girl set him up to meet her and that was what the guys who killed him MWA( Madhiban With Attitude) wanted. Once they saw the guy, they just blasted him

The 31-year-old man shot and killed this morning outside a hotel in Brooklyn Center was not a random victim.

Police said they did not know if the slaying of the Minneapolis man near the Crowne Plaza Hotel off Interstate Hwy. 694 was gang-related. Police said they do not yet have a suspect in custody or a motive.

According to Bechthold, the man came to the hotel to visit basketball players he knew staying there after a local tournament. He said the man was standing outside the front entrance with a group when he was shot and collapsed on the driveway. It is not known if the man was targeted.

"We do not believe this incident is a random act, and we do not believe the community is at risk," Bechthold said.

Bechthold said the shooting happened around 4:30 a.m. and that the man was treated but died at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Police said the victim was Somali and they suspect the shooter is as well. Bechthold said there was a fight in the hotel about 30 minutes before the shooting and it is not yet known if that fight is related to the shooting.

The victim's name was not released but Omar Jamal, director of the Somali Justice Advocacy Center, said the man was married with a daughter.

According to Jamal, the man had worked as a security guard and basketball coach at the Brian Coyle Community Center in south Minneapolis.

Jamal said he knew the victim and had met today with his family, which was fearful.

"He is greatly missed," Jamal said.

Jamal noted that the shooting came after three Somali teenagers were stabbed on Lake Street this morning and after a Somali man was shot several months ago near the Cedar-Riverside apartments in Minneapolis. Bechthold said he didn't know if the murder was related to the stabbings.

"There is tremendous concern about the increase in crime," Jamal said. "That is why we are working with police to reduce the level of crime
