These latest months, Hiiraan has witnessed nothing but revolutionairy rural guerrilla campaigns straight from the textbooks of many rural guerrilla war theorists.
The cities have been left to the enemy, the lines of supply/communication of the enemy is constantly harrased, when the enemy leaves the city, the revolutionaires come in, give speeches, and win over the people. The enemy is deprieved of water from the wells by the people, on command of the revolutionaires.
Clashes have been in: Bule Burte (outside the city and on outskirts), Halgan (the center of the resistance in Hiiraan), Jawiil, Beledweyne (outside the city near the airport), Ceel Gaal, Matabaan ( heaviest clashes this week), Faaf Gumarre (10 km west of beledweyne), Feerfeer etc etc.
