WTF...How come Somalis don't own any businesses?

I'm at work, going through the business listings for Minneapolis, and there are less than 20 legitimate, street front Somali businesses listed. This list has between 5,000 and 10,000 businesses and I've seen 70% of it. This listing is mostly for restaurants/retail, where Somalis should be most prominent.

There are almost 100,000 Somalis here and less than 20 legitimate business owners are listed. There are around 15,000 Indians here and they make up like 5% of the list entirely on their own. There are around the same number of Vietnamese too and they still have around 120 business owners listed compared to the measly 9 Somalis I found. Even the disenfranchised Hmong qaxooti who never saw electricity are killing Somalis in the business competition with about 80 owners listed so far. Even the focking Mexicans who just came from Cali have around 300 owners listed and they only number around 20,000 in the city.

I don't get it. Why do Somalis call themselves the Jews of Africa? WTF, I found more Liberian business owners on the list and there are only 5,000 Libbies here compared to 100k Somalis.

Smart guy, take two notes:

-> I'm not Somali so I'm not part of their competition to become the "Jews of Africa"

-> The SOMALIS pride themselves on being PROMINENT MERCHANTS, I'm asking them why the facts don't match their words.


THAT is the point. Take note and come back when you brush over those key words. If they were modest about their lackluster business skills, this topic wouldn't exist.
