Somali's are naturally proud people, and don't want to be associated with BLACKS, hence why they say "I'm Somali, I ain't African". The Algerians and Egyptians (well most of them) say that their ARABS, they don't say their AFRICAN...!!

It all comes down to pride and being proud of being Somali, were just geographically associated with AFRICA (well thats the mentality of most Somali's anyway).

The whole being "Black" brings a stigmata about it. Blacks are associated with CRIME and POVERTY.. ...now who wants to be associated with that...!!
