in the early times,kismayo belonged to baajuns,galjecels and shiikhal a hawiye subclans came and settled there,then siyaad bare a marehan allowed ogadens to settle in kismayo and all of jubbadas then after the somali collapse ilyokars from gedo and as far as galgaduud made kismayo their degaan with the help of hawiye subclans aka their master cayr.

i know for a fact that darood clans in Muqadisho moved to kismaayo in mass number at the time of the civil war, so no one can tell me kismaayo belonged to majeerteen or the galgaduud-mudug mareexan before 1990. i cant understand where this denial comes from i mean the city speaks for it self when the war broke out everyone when to their original degaans, mareexan degaans around kismaayo eventualy gave the city to us.

hawiye degaans around muqadisho eventualy gave the city to them.
