A lot of people from Minnesota are flocking to to Winnipeg, Manitoba. I've talked to some people that went there and got a Canadian asylum and got a lot of money working oil fields. Anybody have information about that place?

Its actually Edmonton, Alberta.. and yes lots of somalis went there and are still going.

They make(claim anyways) big bucks..but the place is very expensive and socail life is zero...so some go there work for 6 months or a year ..come back and hold a lighter to whatever they saved while there.

PS. I dont know about the asylum thing..only qaxotis would know that..and in Canada thats a rare thing among somalis.

My boy Yahya just came from there, and the dude collected 8000 in four months, he said half the of city speak french and the other half speak English. He has dual citizenship, but the American one is as good as dead, he abused it really bad

Going from one place to another isn't the answer. Should America's economy sink (as expected eventually), Canada's will sink along. With the price of oil declining, Canada's exports to America declining and a host of other economic declinings, Canada won't be able to support immigrants. It will be forced to cut or even stop social assistance. The same story applies to Europe & Australia.

The answer lies in preparing yourself for Somalia or other Muslim countries. The sooner you start that, the better.

french? definitely not Alberta... i think you must be talking about Quebec, that's the only place in Canada where francophone's live and people either speak full french or speak both official languages.

that ain't no lie wallee. somalis are making crazy dough in AB...have u ever heard of bus drivers making $8,000/month? yep bus drivers working for the oil companies transporting workers to the field site make that much if not more...i know this one farax who went to Fort McMurrary(the oil boom town in AB) made mad cash for short period of time..something like $50,000..came back to T.dot and burned it all away. last i checked he went back to AB to make some more. oh dear the cycle never ends for these skinnies.

Wait a min, so Manitoba and Edmonton are the same? The place I am talking about has a 204 area code, so I am not sure it it's Edmonton

Zuli, As soon as I graduate, I am hitting there. If average faraax making that much, I am assuming skilled individuals would make a killing
