By the way the states parliament is chaired by Leelkase; the 66 seats in the unicameral legislature are allocated to sub-clans, with members of parliament requiring the signed consent of the traditional leaders of their sub-clans (issims) in order to take office. For the purpose of selecting a president and vice-president, the members of parliaments become the electors, completing the process of indirect representation. An eight-member Commission for Ratification and Settlement (electoral commission), with one member from each of Puntland's seven regions and a chairman, arbitrates the process, validating candidates and resolving disputes.

Such is Puntland's underlying traditional political system and so far it has led to several peaceful transfer of power, hopefully your ilk too can enjoy such peaceful transfer of power with their imported Western political system.

Well considering harti make up a good 75-80%(being conservative) of puntlanders that makes sense anyways i seriously doubt that somaliland has equal and fair representation of qabil especially cause since u claim sool & sanaag , of course your counter argument being its a direct democracy so qabil doesnt matter, but we both know thats a lie. And even if non-hartis have a few number of seats i know for sure they'd rather be puntland then nothing

Well shilling put my comment out of context I was talking about how puntland was based on qabil and its borders are also based in qabil and not regional other wise we would have seen a sacad in the parliament of garowe. Somaliland is one man one vote who ever the candidate might be. Daahir rayaale is from the gadabuursi clan that only has 13 seats in the parliament of Somaliland. So the darod in Somaliland who have 10 seats in the parliament of Somaliland can also do the same. And be a candidate and then lets see if they are popular among the Somaliland population.
