According to the Quran why do bad things happen to Good People? Use ayat's from the Quran.

I think its to test their faith. And the people who go through hardship and still are good practising muslims, will be compensated in the life after.

but ibn harti has it right. some of the most tragic things happened the most beloved people of all. just look at our prophet and the hardships he went through to spread islam and other pious individuals. if you read the saxaabs you will find all different kinds of tests and tribulations, challenges, and mischiefs. sxb jannah is not free.
