Slightly Optimistic About Somalia!

Post by Murax »

Well first Great Job by Maslax  j/k

But Shareef is the right Man for the job. I still do not like the fact that He acted so irrationally in '06 only to take the same deal in '09, but whats done is done. I think this Guy is the most verstile Guy in Somali politics right now (Not saying a lot) Who can play different sides of the fence. His first order of business is to appoint a competent PM, avoid a Embagathi type stay in Djoubti, establish Himself in Mogadishu, and do something about Shabab. Tall order!

Murax,

Talks are already underway with the Shabab.

I too am optimistic. I just wish the Henna Wadaad would stop his speeches against the Sharif,

Thats not irrational thinking, thats called hypocrisy.

Versatile as in switching sides? versatile as in in defecting to the "enemy" he established a jihaad on in 2006. Versatile as being a traitor?

and now he will probably use the same Ugandian soldiers he fought against to wage a war against the same Al-Shabaab he lead.

Screw,

Well the reason people have for optimism is:

This Guy is chummy with the West, inparticular the US and in this day and age that takes You places

The Guy was former chairman of the ICU

Considering Somalia's problem could be solved with just $$$, these are welcome developments.

Murax,

Sheik Sharif is a very decent guy. I have been observing the man's action and from my friends in the ARS who tell me he is a very well spoken, moderate man.
